Senior Tax Manager - Compliance and Reporting
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced (10+ years PQE) Senior Tax Manager to join Corio’s rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.
Corio’s global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 30 GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors.
In this newly created role, you will report to the Head of Tax as an integral member of the overall Finance organisation managing the Tax function of the global offshore wind business.
Corio is a wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Group, an Australian head-quartered bank. The Tax Manager role is a Reporting and Compliance including responsibilities for the parent, Macquarie.
You will be leading with the following:
- Management of two Tax Managers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of:
- Tax Reporting – internal reporting, quarterly reporting to parent company, as well as annual obligations such as Australian CFC reporting, Australia tax transparency, CBCR and HMRC requirements
- Tax Compliance – direct, indirect, withholding taxes and any local tax obligations
- Transfer Pricing – oversight of the models, updates to the TP methodology policy, local transfer pricing file preparation, country-by-country reporting,
- Managing external advisors for tax outsourced service
- Tax governance including policies, procedures, controls, Senior Accounting Officer documentation including tax risk register. Management of tax control framework including testing and attestation
- Assisting the Head of Tax with Corio Group Tax compliance and advisory matter such as but not limited to management of key tax stakeholders such as tax authorities, shareholders and co-investors, process enhancement and automation, Pillar II readiness for reporting.
You will use your strong relationship building skills to engage with and influence a variety of key stakeholders across the business and think strategically in order to identify process improvement opportunities and create and realise efficiencies on a regular basis.
You will be CTA (or equivalent) qualified with experience overseeing the tax compliance of a large, complex organisation in-house or in practice at a senior level. You will have outstanding communication skills and strong relationship management skills. Key qualities the candidate will require includes attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines, project manage multiple workstreams, and streamline processes and procedures. Experience of leading a high performing team is essential for the role.
